The indie-pop sound of Foreign Diplomats quickly retains the attention of Indica Records that signed the band in 2013 and released their first self-titled EP in June of that same year. This EP allowed the band to perform on the M pour Montreal, the Montreal International Jazz Festival and Expo Québec stages, as well as being the openers of renowned artists such as Alex Nevsky, Phantogram, Half Moon Run or Violent Women. In the fall of 2014, Foreign Diplomats entered the Bathouse Recording Studio with American director Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, The Shins, Couting Crows...) to record their first album, Princess Flash, which was released on October 9, 2015.
